thunderstorms, literally

my last night in platania (for now), the heavens opened up and there was lighting, very appropriate.
very sad to be leaving but really looking forward to london, time for a change. i have so many people to thank for the last 6 months, it would be the longest blog ever, but for now i would like to thank the cappellos (all 4 of you!) and gianfranco. a comprehensive list of thank-yous will follow soon…
vincenzo and pina have provided everything for us here, giovanna has been our angel looking after us from afar and maria has been keeping an eye on us and has been very supportive all the way from mexico. thank you, thank you, thank you.
gianfranco has been there for us every day. me and ulf are not easy to deal with sometimes (a bit emotional, both of us…) and he has been so patient with us.
house progress has been a bit slower than expected, mostly because of factors out our control, but it’s been a lot of fun building and there’s visible progress every day, which is brilliant. would have liked to stay longer as it’s just getting exciting but it’s time to go back. it’s amazing how this project has snowballed and become such a grand undertaking, i never imagined we would have ended doing this much work; very happy about this as we have been able to do exactly what we wanted to do but it’s taken it’s toll on our finances… understatement.
not sure for how much longer i will write this blog, not very interesting reading about me going to work every day in london, but i will definitely keep writing for a few more days, many things to write about still… next stop london (to join the queue at the unemployment office).
